This is the privacy draft for the release-candidate phase.

Typed search

The Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji search index is loaded locally in the browser. Typed SGGS search terms do not need to be sent to a SAMUNDAR server for the core search to work.

External source lookups

When a user selects or requests an external source feature, the browser may contact third-party services such as BaniDB, SriGranth, or SikhiToTheMax. Those services have their own privacy practices.

Pankti Ucharo · BETA

The microphone is used only after the user activates Pankti Ucharo and grants browser permission. The present beta relies on the browser's speech-recognition capability, which may use a browser/vendor speech service. SAMUNDAR uses the returned transcript only as a search clue against the verified local corpus.

History and analytics

This shared-core candidate does not add SAMUNDAR cloud search history, accounts, advertising, or profiling. If optional local history or privacy-preserving aggregate site analytics are added later, this page will be updated before public release.

Today’s Hukamnama

The Today’s Hukamnama page requests the daily Hukamnama from the public BaniDB API. As with ordinary web requests, the external service may receive standard network information such as an IP address.
